Teenage drinking and driving occurrences have fallen in the past decade, but it is still a serious problem across the country. One of the most important ways to help combat the problem of teenagers drinking and driving is to understand the importance of parental or adult role modeling, in addition to the factors of peer pressure and binge drinking. The CDC Reports that adults that have an impact on the lives of teenagers can be strong allies with teenagers and the public by keeping aware of the signs that a teenager is drinking, providing education and support to a teen at risk for drinking and driving, and model safe ways a vehicle can and should be operated.
