Virginia DUIs Still Rising

While many think that strict penalties and laws regarding driving while under the influence of alcohol are enough to stop people from making irresponsible choices, there are still plenty of steps to take in order to eliminate drunk driving entirely. WTVR.com reports that even in Virginia, a state with tough drunk driving and ignition interlock laws, the number of DUI convictions has dramatically increased. This is causing law enforcement and other advocacy agencies to question why people are not seeing the consequences of a DUI as a deterrent to driving drunk.
