Teenage and underage drinking has recently shown a decrease in occurrences, leading to safer lifestyle and driving choices overall. WebProNews reports that The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) has revealed that policies and guidelines from the U.S. Surgeon General may be helping to reduce the number of teenage and underage drinkers. These guidelines include curfew hours, graduated driver’s licensing and college or community outreach programs, and they are all helping to keep our teens and young adults safe and sober, especially when driving.
