New York State lawmakers are moving forward with legislation to reduce the number of drunk drivers on the road. Mineola America reports that the New York State senate recently passed a bill that will require all convicted DWI offenders to install and use an ignition interlock on any vehicles that are driven, rather than only the vehicle that was used to commit the DWI offense. In addition, the bill states that any convicted offender without a vehicle must wear an alcohol monitoring device instead of requiring the ignition interlock installation.
