Driving drunk comes with a wide range of consequences, and South Dakota is no exception to this rule. KDLT.com reports that with the state’s 24/7 Sobriety Program, many people were unable to meet the requirements of in-person breathalyzer tests or ankle monitors. As such, ignition interlock devices were introduced into the program last October, with favorable results that show the effectiveness of the devices and program.
