Illinois is one of the toughest states in the U.S. when it comes to drunk driving convictions and consequences, and continues to lead the nation in its safety directives. According to an editorial by the Illinois Secretary of State recently published in the Chicago Tribune, the state of Illinois has implemented new regulations on ignition interlock devices. The devices will now require a camera that will take a photo of the offender and he or she is tested for blood alcohol concentration, eliminating the ability to circumvent the systems.
