Identification License Plates for Convicted Offenders

Driving is a right, not a privilege, and yet, each day, millions of people drive dangerously and often with fatal consequences due to texting, age or after consuming alcohol. Fox Busines reports that a recent survey seems to indicate that in light of dangerous drivers on the road, many people support the idea of “identification license plates” for those who have been convicted of traffic violations including DUI/DWI. Identification license plates have been tested in several areas in the U.S., with mixed appreciation. Many feel the identification license plates unfairly shame a driver who has made a mistake, while others feel these special plates will increase safe driving across the country.
