Strengthening laws that involve drinking and driving has become an urgent priority throughout the U.S. With 17 states currently requiring an ignition interlock device for first-time offenders, several other states are taking note, including Mississippi. According to InsuranceJournal.com, Mississippi Governor, Phil Bryant, is poised to sign a bill that will increase license suspension times, provide avenues for mandatory ignition interlock sentences and felony convictions for repeat offenders.
