Statistics show that the rate of drunk driving is decreasing across the U.S., while distracted driving accidents are on the rise. Drunk and distracted driving are both unsafe practices that put the lives of our loved ones in danger, which is perhaps why the attention given to drunk driving should also be applied to those who text and drive or face other distractions on the road. A recent editorial in Anchorage Daily News not only points out the similarities between drunk and distracted driving, but, also calls upon MADD to take action in order to increase the awareness of the dangers of both drunk and distracted driving.
