Law enforcement officials hear a myriad of excuses when stopping drivers under the suspicion of DUI/DWI, but, perhaps the one excuse that cannot be beaten is actually a real syndrome: gut fermentation syndrome. CNN reports that a man in Texas has been suspected of non-stop drinking for years, but after his wife witnessed his blood alcohol concentration level at .40 after not having consumed alcohol, he was brought into a gastroenterologist for more testing.
