A New York employee has been suspended for tampering with a driver’s restricted license status, attempting to circumvent an ignition interlock requirement through DMV records and other means. The PostStarNews reports that a DMV Supervisor illegally accessed records twice, attempting to remove the ignition interlock requirement, and also sent letters to an attorney that may have had the appearance of official DMV correspondence. The DMV supervisor is charged with six felonies and three misdemeanors relating to the record tampering.
