Each year, MADD releases its ratings of each state and the efforts within to curb drunk driving. Many times, these reports allow a state to understand where its laws could be tightened up, and other times, the reports just let a state know it is doing well in stopping drunk drivers. According to trib.com, the state of Wyoming is doing about average in comparison to the other 49 states ranked by MADD, and has a few major steps it could take in order to ensure the safety of citizens on the road. Ignition interlock devices are required in the state for convicted DUI offenders, but, those guidelines could narrow and make an even stronger difference.
