The many ways that alcohol has found its way into the lives of adults in the U.S. can be seen at sporting events, at bars, parties and even the “shaken, not stirred” martini of 007. Alcohol has made a place in our lives and will remain there within the foreseeable future. Over half of Americans consume alcohol regularly (12 drinks each year), according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
While many adults will drink responsibly, especially considering a “regular” drinker has an average of one drink per month, the risk of drunk drivers will always hover on the edges of peripheral. Drunk driving is not only dangerous, but, can be deadly. For the majority of Americans, the best way to stay safe after drinking is to find a sober ride home, call a taxi or eliminate the temptation to drink and drive all together.
