MADD Rates Iowa and Minnesota Poorly

In it’s annual report on each state’s ranking when it comes to curbing drunk driving, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) has given both Minnesota and Iowa two out of five stars. According to kaaltv.com, both states were encouraged to add ignition interlock programs to their state’s penalties for driving while under the influence of alcohol. These devices help reduce the rate of recidivism among convicted drunk driving offenders and have shown to be effective in other states with IID laws.
