The legal blood alcohol limit (BAC) in the U.S. is .08, after which a person is arrested for alcohol related driving charges like DUI or DWI. This level is tested at sobriety checkpoints and traffic stops by Breathalyzer devices. According to Huffington Post, however, a recent traffic stop in Iowa became a lesson in just how high a person’s BAC could register.
