Anyone who has ever been affected by the careless actions of a drunk driver understand the need for more law enforcement to focus on keeping the streets safe. In Raleigh, North Carolina, a recent grant is being put to good use in protecting the community from those who make careless, alcohol-related choices. The Chronicle reports that the city will receive a grant in October, 2013, that will enable law enforcement to organize “DWI Squads” in order to help keep a visible presence to remind others not to drink and drive, as well as to apprehend drunk drivers.
