Alcohol is well known to be an “ice breaker” when it comes to social interactions, allowing adults to relax and let down inhibitions or unwind after a hard day at work. However, this same relaxation can easily lead to poor judgement when it comes to driving after drinking, as a recent study has proven. According to U.S. News and World Report, this study reveals that people are much more relaxed about their ability to drive after drinking, after having already consumed alcohol. While these findings may not be astounding, the study does back up many organization’s missions that encourage anyone who plans to drink to have a plan to get home safely, before taking that first sip of alcohol.
