With 18 states now requiring mandatory ignition interlock installation for those convicted of DUI/DWI, the rest of the U.S. has some tough shoes to fill. WRAL reports that M.A.D.D. recently sent letters to the General Assembly asking for a law that would require ignition interlock installations for convicted offenders. Citing an investigation by WRAL, M.A.D.D. notes that the state of North Carolina is not enforcing its current laws regarding restricted driver’s licenses.
