One in 50 Drivers are Impaired; Military Personnel Included

The National Safety Council has recently released reports that prove one in 50 drivers are operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. This rate of drunk driving actually increases during the weekends, with a reported rate of one in 10 people driving drunk. According to The Bayonet, the rates of alcohol consumption in the military have also increased since the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq began, and almost half of military personnel report binge drinking.
